Senior Consultant
Responsibilities
FrogDog’s senior consultants are responsible for consulting with clients on an ongoing basis, developing marketing communications strategies and implementation plans aimed at achieving business goals, and ensuring marketing efforts continuously align with the strategy throughout the implementation process.
Top-level responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Actively consult with clients and provide solid recommendations for their business issues.
- Support recommendations with strong rationale and research.
- Develop strategic marketing plans based on research and analysis of company goals, direction, audience, and competition.
- Monitor the strategic direction of clients and ensure marketing efforts align with the strategy. Proactively identify and present new opportunities that impact the bottom line and achieve goals for our clients.
- Manage and enhance relationships with clients in a variety of industries including health care, technology, oilfield services, agribusiness, professional services, and nonprofit.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest marketing mediums and demonstrate an understanding of what marketing efforts work best for certain industries, issues, etc.
- Require little supervision and show an ability to multitask.
- Coordinate and implement multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
- Ensure team understanding and commitment to budget, contract requirements, timelines, and work quality.
- Represent FrogDog in client presentations, speaking opportunities, networking events, etc.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have the following:
- Eight or more years of marketing consulting or related experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, psychology, sociology, intellectual history, or related studies—graduate degree preferred
- Ability to think strategically and apply creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively plan, develop, and execute marketing strategies
- Ability to dive-in and approach challenges head on
- Strong emphasis on achieving meaningful results
- Demonstrate leadership and ability to work without supervision
- Experience managing staff and coordinating team efforts
- Budgetary experience
- Effective interpersonal skills and sound business judgment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with all levels of management in client organizations
